Meet Jamie
Hi, I’m Jamie, the owner and lead caregiver at Little Nuggets Daycare. I started Little Nuggets with a simple but meaningful goal: to be home with my own children while also providing other families with high-quality, affordable childcare they can trust.
With over 10 years of experience in early childhood care and a bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts (with a minor in Graphic Design), I’ve always had a passion for nurturing children’s creativity and helping them learn through play.
As a mom of two, I understand the importance of finding a safe, loving, and dependable place for your child. That’s exactly what I’ve created at Little Nuggets—a warm, home-based environment where children are treated like family.
Outside of daycare, I love spending time with my family and friends, enjoying a good Starbucks coffee, and being a mom—it’s my favorite role of all. My favorite color is green, elephants are my favorite zoo animal, and I believe a little joy and laughter go a long way in a child’s day.
I’m certified in CPR, AED, and First Aid for all ages, and I participate in ongoing training each year to stay current in early childhood education. Every day, I feel grateful to do what I love while helping little ones grow, explore, and thrive.
Meet James (a.k.a Grandpa)
Hi, I’m James—though most people around here just call me Grandpa. I’m proud to be Jamie's dad and a Grandpa not only to my grandkids, Jimmy and Maddy, but also to all the wonderful children at Little Nuggets. As the daycare’s cook, co-owner, and assistant teacher, I bring a lot of heart, humor, and life experience to everything I do. I love filling the house with the smells of a good home-cooked meal and the sound of happy, laughing kids.
Before joining the daycare, I spent many years as a deputy sheriff and later as a school bus driver—so caring for and protecting others has always been part of who I am. I treat every child here like one of my own grandkids, with plenty of patience, kindness, and a good sense of humor. The kids seem to enjoy my silly jokes, and I sure enjoy seeing their faces light up when I walk in the room.
When I’m not at the daycare, you’ll probably find me in the garden, working in my garage woodshop, or out fishing whenever I get the chance. I find a lot of joy in the simple things—and I try to bring that same joy into the daycare each day.

Meet Pam (a.k.a Grandma)
Hi, I’m Pam—though around here, I’m better known as Jamie's mom and a Grandma to all the kiddos at Little Nuggets (including my own grandbabies, Jimmy and Maddy). With over 30 years of experience as a nurse, caring for others has always been second nature to me. Being part of a warm, family-centered daycare feels like the perfect fit.
I’m the secretary, co-owner, and an extra set of hands whenever needed. Even on my days off, you’ll often find me helping with paperwork, staying organized, or popping in just to share a few hugs and smiles with the little ones. I truly love being around them—they bring so much joy into my life.
When I’m not at the daycare, I like to relax with a little chocolate (Peanut M&Ms or Rolos are my favorite!) and watch some of my favorite classic TV shows from the late ’80s and early ’90s. Little House on the Prairie is a longtime favorite. Oh—and I absolutely love Snoopy from the Peanuts cartoon!
It’s a real blessing to be part of the Little Nuggets family, and I’m so grateful to be surrounded by so much laughter, love, and learning every day.
Meet Bruce
Hi, I’m Bruce—Jamie’s husband and proud dad to Jimmy and Maddy. While I mostly work behind the scenes at Little Nuggets, I’m always happy to help out wherever I’m needed. I take care of daily cleaning, general upkeep, and whatever else needs to be done to help keep the daycare safe, organized, and running smoothly.
When I’m not lending a hand at the daycare, you’ll probably find me playing darts or watching sports, especially when my favorite teams are playing. I’m proud to be part of the Little Nuggets family and love knowing I play a small part in creating a great space for the kids.
Meet Jimmy & Maddy
Say hello to our two Little Nuggets—Jimmy (5) and Maddy (2)! Jimmy is sweet, energetic, and absolutely obsessed with chicken nuggets—which just so happens to be the inspiration behind the name Little Nuggets Daycare. His love for sharing, playing, and making friends brings so much joy to our days.
Maddy is our little star—full of personality, always chatting, and never missing a chance to be the center of attention. She keeps us all smiling and adds a big dose of fun to the daycare.
These two help make Little Nuggets the warm, family-centered space it is—and they can’t wait to meet your little one!
Meet Our Furry Friends
At Little Nuggets Daycare, our home is filled with love—and a few wagging tails and purring companions! We share our space with two friendly dogs, Gus and Max, who are Boxer-Terrier-Labrador mixes. They’re still learning new tricks but are gentle, affectionate, and love getting pets from little hands.
We also have three sweet cats: Biscuit, Binx, and Bear. They’re curious, cuddly, and often can be found lounging nearby or quietly observing all the fun.
All of our pets are well-socialized and up to date on their vaccinations. While they aren’t part of the structured childcare routine, they add warmth and joy to our home, helping to create a cozy and comforting environment for your child.
